Balance issues aside, BF:V had some pretty cool features. I remember it was the first FPS I ever played that really felt like it was in a jungle. The ambiance was incredible. I loved the in-game radio/music (big classic rock fan) and I would just crank the tunes and then rip around the maps.

I never really got into the original BF that much - BF:V was the first one I played heavily.

Some of the maps were really well made too and the kits, although not incredibly balanced, really were pretty kewl. I realy enjoyed some of the small touches to the game too. For example, the ability to kill the voice by killing the speaker. "Poor soldier, your country has abandoned you. Your helicopters fall from the sky, like broken birds." Gosh, her name escapes me, but I remember always striving to kill the speaker, only to feel lonely afterwards. The mopeds were awesome!

The ability to crank the tunes was pretty fun too. I remember when I first got it, I read you could put your own MP3's on. The first day I had it, I musta drove around, crankin the Benny Hill theme song doing just stupid shit in jeeps. It took about 20 minutes before I realized others could only hear stock songs. The "Bird is the Word" song got pretty annoying after a while, but "Hush" and some Jefferson Airplane more than made up for that. This clip is pretty funny. I think I was born 15-20 years too late.
