As much of a failure as the release of this game was, it did introduce some pretty kewl ideas that I hope some future game adopts. I'd a game that adds some of these elements as well as some well thought features of other games could really catch on right now.

I think the "frontlines" feature that determines what points can be capped would make a good "game-type" with well-thought out maps. In conjunction with other gametypes (VIP, Domination, capture the flag) would add lots of flavor and variety and attract a wider audience.

Their implementation of kits with a loadout was a fantastic idea and was pretty well implemented, if not exactly balanced. Some tweaking of this system could pave the way for tremendous variety of gameplay, but would require quite a bit of balancing. There are severals ways this system could be modified, depending on how the "loadouts" are set up, and kit could even vary depending on the loadout chosen.

Drones, for example added a fantastic element to gameplay, and the fact they they cannot cap and there is a built in EMP counter, make them very well implemented and balanced.

Their implementation of the squad system was poor, but it wouldn't be too difficult to mimic the BF2 system without any kind of infringment. Add VOIP done in a similar fashion and you have a pretty sexy interface and communication system for an FPS that would draw and maintain a lot of players.

Adding something similar to the tear gas introduced in BF2 SF with some flashbang, EMP or acid cloud variations that effect drones would be pretty neet. The SF gas system allowed some really kewl concealment possibilites that brought the gme to another level. Combine this type of gameplay with an interactive environment, and the possibilities become endless.

Movement devices similar or even different than the ones in BF2 SF could also be a terrific part of a game, if limitted to specific maps (maybe even existing placements).

There iis a fantastic foundation in place for a company to make a fantastic, immersive game. Given how easy it is to generate a large beta of diehards, the amazing capabilites of new PC's and the complete lack of a quality squadbased game right now, it wouldn't take much effort to create a great game with large fanbase of diehards. All it would take is a little creativity and a genuine attempt by the comapnies involved not to sabotage the final product. Here's to hoping someone fills this void.
