Default First Impressions of AoC

These are opinions, so don't argue with people please.

My First Impressions

Character Creations: A nice array of choices lets you build a character to your desire, ranging from height and build, to the size of your butt. though they could have allowed more details for tattoos and such but that is minor.

Newbie Area: Jumping you right into fighting this games hits the ground running. freeing a stripper, killing tribal's and a fat guy who deserves to be killed just for talking. You get a quick feel for the game but even if you don't it does offer a tutorial guides. NPC combat remains a stand and click affair for the most part

Newbie Town: The map is overly complicated and doesn't give the best of directions. However with so few places to go you should memorize it all fairly quickly. Questing ranges from easy to Don't bother without a group.

Classes: Some classes are clearly stronger off the Start, like most MMO's. the Draw back for most is it becomes tiresome to die over and over trying to complete a task some other class walked through without taking a scratch. I've only played a Necro at this point so I have to try other classes before getting an idea of the overall feel for these.

Sum up: At this point I've yet to be captivated by this game, decent graphics, good character editor. Yet somehow it all feels the same as other mmo's to me, I kept getting the feeling that this was just a better version of Guild Wars. Maybe once I find a class I enjoy and have people I can play with I'll get a better feel. But again, I havnt gotten to play all that much. Till then this game only gets a B- from me.
