Call me crazy but I don't mind if an RPG is on rails as long as it's well executed which Mass Effect is. Open world games like the Elder Scrolls series are completely obnoxious. Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 and Icewind Dale I really enjoyed. Never tried tried KOTOR as star wars blows and any game that involves star wars thereby blows.
