Ill admit the acting in The Happening was abysmal, but I liked it just for the awesome theme.

The majority of people that keep pushing the global warming message are people writing books to make money, or politicians. If you actually ask true scientists with PHDs the majority of them point to the sun's increased solar activity and that humans have an extremely small, if not negligible impact on the global temperature. Just look at history--most of the cold and hot spells in recorded history have been because of differing solar activity.

Also, "smoking is bad", "look before you cross the street" are obvious because you actually SEE the results of doing/not doing such things. Global warming? The only thing you see is people telling you what to believe, and so many people accept it at face value without even looking at the facts. Its almost like its the cool thing to do now to pretend you care about the environment.
