Even with a totally formatted system and a new Windows install, the touchpad and keyboard still weren't working. So I've decided to just say fuck it and get a new system, since this one already had a dead battery and other minor issues that would probably cost more to repair than it would be worth, with regard to both my sanity and my bank account.
