A Few remarks about the AoC release
I thought I would post a few observations about what to expect for the upcoming early release and the bonus items for preorders.
Some of this should just be reminders if you've been keeping up with the details of the early access / prerelease information.
First - just an experience based observation:
If you are participating in the early access program - be sure you are thinking of it like you paid $5 for the privilege of being in the final full beta for FunCom. Although I am sure they've done a ton of improvement since open beta, there will still be more to do.
And next, If you are expecting a special item for preordering, the first thing you will receive from level one is the extra bag for additional carrying capacity. The special mounts or bow will not be available to you until reaching level 40. The special items will also be equipped to all of the characters you create on your account.
Lastly, although the official AoC forums are somewhat marginally useful in getting information - the majority population of postings are nothing but immature smacktardery (naturally for a game rated 'Mature' it would be that way, right?) so double check, triple check, and do your homework before drawing any conclusions based on anything derived from those forums.

Not sure about this but worth checking into: GameStop has additional cards that give you early access and the Mammoth Mount. Early access is sold out but you may still be able to use the card to get a Mount. They did not ask for my pre-order id when I got mine. I'm just uncertain if they have a way of knowing that you pre-ordered and thus qualifying for the Mount. It's worth the try though.

Yeah, I'll be thankful for the extra bag carrying space, considering you barely get any space, which is understandable. Most games, probably allow you to carry to much at the lower levels.

Don't be surprised if Early Access spots open up on the 17th, 18th, or 19th.. just a hunch.

I though the early access bought up 10 extra days of game time too?

Keep your expectations in check as well. The game still has a good bit of polishing left to do so if this is your first major MMO experience outside of WoW, expect some bumps.
Though I will say that the combat and the graphics make up for a lot of the things that are still missing.
