Here is a compiled list of frequently asked questions about Age of Conan. A fair amount of question are answered watching the two tutorial videos covered here, so watch them first.

Note that all most of the information (if not all) here was provided by Nemesis.

How do I claim my Preorder or Collectors Edition items?

To claim your loot if you pre-ordered. Put in your retail code where you register your account. https://register.ageofconan.com
Once in game, type /claim in the chat box. If you don't get your stuff, send a petition to a GM to get it fixed. It's a known bug that happens to some people and they should have a general patch ASAP.

How do I log out?

To log out of the game, type /camp OR hit escape and click on "Exit Game".

**If you just want to go back to the log-in screen, let the 30 second timer run out and do not hit "Exit Now". If you do, it will kick you out of the game.

How do I add a friend in game?

To add Friends:

Type /cc addbuddy Name --with Name being the name of the person you want to add.

You can also do this through the group screen as well which can be accessed by clicking on the "Friends and PvP" tab in the top left:

and then click the "Add By Name" button in the Players tab:

My character is stuck! What do I do?

If you get stuck, type /stuck and it will reset your character to you last good "unstuck" position. If it doesn't work at first, wait a minute and try it again. If all else fails you can always use your "Path of Asura" skill to warp back to a previous area.

How do I petition a GM?

If you need to petition a GM about a problem in the game, type the following into chat:

/petition <message>

Where <message> is a description of your problem. Once the petition is received you will get a tell from the Pet bot, usually giving you the current status of the petition.

The status should prompt you with three options:

Delete Petition: Deletes your petition from the queue
My Petition Status: Returns your petition status, i.e.: how far in the queue it is.
Change Class: Changes the classification of your petition.

Clicking these will open a dialog which will send the chat line command for you. In case the clickable links do not work, the commands for each option are:

Delete Petition: /tell pet delete
My Petition Status: /tell pet status
Change Class: /tell pet classes

If your <message> parameter is detailed enough, the petition should automatically classify the petition for you. If it does not mention your petition being classified when you first send it, then you must manually change it. To change it either click the [Change Class] link or type the command /tell pet classes.

This will send you a tell, click on the "Click here to see available classes" link to get a list of all classifications.

If the classification links do not work, use the following command to manually set it:

Where <classification> is one of the classification types listed above (i.e.: Quest Problem, Crash, etc).

As of right now the GM system is really poor. Don't expect to get your petition replied to in the same day (you're lucky if you get a reply at all).

How do I do emotes?

What is Night Time Tortage (or How does the Single Player work)?

Most of the first 20 levels can be done by using the single player aspect of the game. To access this, go into the bar just inside and to the right of the main gate of Tortage. Speak with Tina first and she will give you your first chance to enter the single player quest line. (Night Time). You can leave the single player at any time by talking with the main people in the bar. And you can reenter it just as easily.

The Single player explains who you are and why you're in the position you are. (no memory, strange tatoo, etc...and it's not because you got drunk the night before.

) You don't HAVE to do the line and there is even an option to skip it at one point, but I highly recommend that you do it at least once. You get great loot for your level and some awesome XP.

How do Feats and Attributes work?

You have access to your Feat trees at level 10. Hitting "N" will bring them up. Hitting "B" will bring up a list of your current Combo's and Abilities.

Attributes and Skills are brought up by hitting "P".

You get attribute points each level and new skills to put them in as you level up. Some classes get skills earlier than others depending on if those skills are class related or not. (IE: Rogue classes get Hide right away, Solider and Mages get it later.) You do NOT have to use up your attribute or Feat points each level.

You can respec your Feats at the Trainers for money. The cost rises each time you use a respec. Attributes can be repeced at anytime for a certain amount of money. In the Attributes and Skills window on the right hold alt and click an skill you wish to reset.

What is an Apprenticeship and how does it work?

The Apprenticeship program will allow higher level characters to bump up lower level characters so they can party together in an area outside of the lower level characters level base.

With an apprenticeship:

Your stats increase (Health, Stamina, Mana)
You do more damage to higher level mobs (mobs at your Apprenticed level)
You gain less experience
