i know it has something to do with my cpu getting too hot...you guys got any suggestions on what i might beable to do to stop this?

also does anyone know any programs that can test this?
Check to make sure that your CPU and video card fans are clean and working. I had random restarts in TF2 until I realized that my video card fan was moving slowly or not at all.

Yeah get a can of liquid air at office depot or some such place and give your PC a good cleanin. I was amazed at how much dust came out of my box the last time I cleaned it out.

And yes, that's what she said.

I wish I knew about that liquid air last week, when I killed my little brothers' PC with a vacuum cleaner trying to clean it

Ya, compressed air that comes in a little spray can. I got a 3 pack at Costco for somewhere around $10, I think.

(might have been a bit more than that... single cans are $6 on ebay)
