What character do you usually use?

I usually go Ninja Mono with ironmode on. Just straight speed. I've been trying to get "Stealth" on my favorite songs. I haven't really tried any of the others yet though.

Same here. The others require too much thinking. I prefer the rush of Elite Ninja Mono on Ironmode. You know you're doing well when you can stealth an up-tempo song this way.

I started getting bored with ninja. The color blocks really add a lot more strategy to the game. Plus you can get INSANE point bonuses from some good/lucky play.

However, I don't have the skills yet to take much advantage of the pusher and eraser guys. There's just no way I can think fast enough to make smart decisions about which blocks to erase or push while I'm flying at Mach 5 on some prodigy song. Because of that, I find Vegas a really fun class to play. You can focus on your grid without trying to take advantage of your micro abilities. His ability is just a shuffle of the board which comes in handy when you're about to overfill, so you don't have to think about it too much.

I'm really digging Vegas, and Pusher. Too bad Vegas is only in the "medium" skill range.

I enjoy Pointman, Vegas and Mono Pro/Ninja. A lot of my favorite songs in Mono Ninja are damn near impossible -- without ironmode .

I like Mono Pro most of the time, just because my Pointman experiences are very random so far. I'm sure once I get a better feel for how to play, I will enjoy Pointman more. Right now, I just find that the blocks come too fast for me to make smart decisions about which ones are more valuable and all that.

I avoid purples like greys unless theres a surefire combo. I gun for red/yellow all the time and pick up blues in between. For vegas, I am a little more lax on this; for pointman, I only scoop up the power ups (the red/yellow painters for sure), max out my blocks and then drop the painter.

A good combo of purple might give you 700 points, while a good combo of blue may be 1500-2000 easily. Red combos give anywhere from 4000+.

I wish I had the screenshot of a red match 21 /w multiplier I landed. It was an easy 15k.

Pointman is my favorite. Make sure to grab a paint (no matter what color) toward the end of the song to assure you can get the clean sweep bonus... that makes a huge difference and it sucks to miss it because you've got one yellow left. Vegas is kind of fun. I haven't really been able to figure out pusher very well.

I sometimes play mono, but I just find it so damn boring. It doesn't even really feel like there's much to the song either.

I feel no need for iron mode as it can just be frustrating. You already lose so many points that overloading is detrimental.
