Anyone figure out how to correctly display the -F- in-game? I heard something about a config file change but can't remember what to do exactly.

Documents>Battlefield 2>Profiles>Global.con file, open it in Notepad

should look something like this:

GlobalSettings.setDefaultUser "0001"
GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix "-F-"

and just change the setNamePrefix to how you want it (make sure its in the quotes, and within the 6 character limit) then, File and Save
Make sure you do this before you start the game up.

Some of those newer maps have horrible performance compared to the older POE maps or stock bf2 maps. Might be a good idea to change your settings for one of these maps. Port yalta was one, and assault on odessa.

That's half the enjoyment for me.

I'm actually playing games with almost no laggity lag, which is a novel experience for me. I get no jitters on the newer maps.

Yeah I think those are the only updates you need.

Thanks for playing guys. I hope you show up more often, it is great to have some old school guys on. It really improves gameplay.

I don't know if your serious and making fun of some of us! I spent the night bitching about hitting the wrong keys and waiting for a crit rocket on a tank.

That is why it is so great to play with you guys. You can be completely lost having not played in a long time yet still manage to make the round fun.
