Thread: Will You Buy MW2?

Sometime last week I saw it somewhere around 8, at the time CoD4 was outselling it. Call me a pessimist but I have little faith in the integrity of most CoD fans. They'll wait to the last day in hope that someone will get spooked by the lower sales and promise dedicated servers but when it doesn't happen they'll buy the game anyway.

I canceled my pre-orders yesterday, it is still on the top of my GameFly que for the PS3 version... But I wont be buying it. Maybe it will get lost in the mail.

I was planning on purchasing MW2 when it was annoucened. However, I have changed my mind since then. I'm not going to purchase it for a number of reasons.

First and foremost being the single player. The terrorist mission, although there are games that are much worse, it still doesn't really please me. On top of that, Soap now has a mohawk, followed by the fact that you can dual wield SMGs. Now, CoD is not what you would call "realistic" by any means, but having a mohawk in the RAS and dual wielding SMGs is just too much.

And of course, the no dedicated server thing. Just another reason not to purchase this game. Well, I'm glad I saved $60.00. I have an excuse to not buy it now. I guess I'll just keep investing in add-ons for FS2004.

I know what you mean about the realism. Cod4 was as realistic as rambo, but MW2 looks more like james bond. Its not just the mohawk and the dual wielding, theres also snowmobile chases, eminem and space?

Im sorry, but that eminem song is fucking sweet.
