Massive TF2 Updates, Awesome Competition and Ikariam Alliances

TF2 Updates:

With the major Heavy Update pushed out by Valve, we have seen a big surge in population at Focused and the admin team has been hard at work putting some changes into place to handle the renewed interest in TF2.

We have some great new additions to the admin team, who will be there to watch over the servers and make sure they're running in great shape. Don't hesitate to contact an admin with questions or suggestions about our servers.

We have provisioned a third TF2 server in Virginia to host an Always Arena rotation. Please check that thread for server info, map rotation and give us feedback on what you think about the game mode and the server. Our Fun Maps Server remains at the same address as previously.

Monument to Awesomeness Competition:

Concr3te has taken the reins for our New Monument to Awesomeness Competition, which pits our finest video posters in a battle of awesomeness to decide who will emerge victorious in the content wars. Ikariam Alliances

Lucky Shot has kindly provided us with an update on our "FOCUS" Ikariam alliance happenings:

"Today, I am proud to announce that we have come to an agreement and the Fox Rite alliance, currently ranked as the 61st strongest alliance, has agreed to merge with our Focused Gaming group. Merger discussions took place for about 2 weeks. This merger opens up trade opportunities and provides greater security in our area.

Even before the merger, the Focused Gaming alliance has grown into a top 25 alliance with 20 members. A big reason for our success resides with a focus on getting the right kind of player into our group and players who are in the right place. Recent additions to our group include Blackwolfe (top 100 player from OTC), Snengod (From the Foxes) and FlynTP (Leader of the Time alliance) who all dramatically increased our strength in our area of the world.

With the increased strength, we have also been able to undertake in some more covert and devious activities that we are unable to go into great detail in this post. Because of the ongoing nature of these activities, we can’t post our wins publicly. However, if you’re a subscriber of Focused, then keep your eyes out for a post in the subscriber forums for more specifics on this as we have achieved."
