Tons of kids steal credit cards off internet/friends/family/strangers and use NewEgg to buy merchandise. They've gotta do something to protect themselves, I suppose. I've used different addresses and never had a problem myself, but I don't know how it all works.
Sucks that it didn't work, but at least now your PC will be together sooner. And it will explode.

Computer parts (from my own experience) are a lot tougher than some people think XD I used to be scared crapless when I installed my first processor+cooler and the entire motherboard buckled when I tried to clamp down the cooler but now I don't treat it as gingerly. Plus for the new Intel processors all you do is push and twist those little feet in for the cooler. You might want to install the cpu and maybe the memory and stuff before you put the motherboard in the case; just put it on some foamy stuff that comes in the box. Worst comes to worst, you consult teh intarwebs with all their prettiful tutorials. And if you do screw something up, Newegg is supposed to have a pretty liberal return/RMA policy, you just have to pay for shipping back.
I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy that new rig And then you won't have an excuse when you miss those easy headshots!

Yeah my bro told me to assemble it outside of the case first. Although ill never regain my manhood back, ill actually read the manual to help me a bit.
Ill use my low FPS excuse as long as I got it My excuse later will be that im not used to high frames.

Yeah, you can put the video card, ram, and CPU in the mobo, connect the PSU and monitor, place the Mobo on its' packaging box, and fire it up to make sure it posts, recognizes the ram etc. That way if anything's jacked up, you'll know right off the bat.
If you somehow manage to kill your cat or fry your PSU, don't sue me. I am not a hardware expert.

I read the manuals every time, and I've assembled dozens of computers. Every mobo is different, and the technology for everything changes every 3-4 years.
I'm not sure why you'd bother assembling anything outside the case though. Stick the memory on the mobo, sure, but that's all.

Memory and CPU are easily done outside the case. Don't put any PCI cards in outside the case that makes it harder.

You know, you dont' really need a case at all, you can just sort of lay everything on the ground next to each other. Some people think this is a stupid idea though.

Well ive got the CPU, heatsink, ram, and graphics card all plugged into the motherboard. Ive got the power supply hooked up and when i turn it all on, lights come on on the motherboard but none of the fans work. My brother thinks it may be because the power supply doesnt have a 8 pin (or something...) connecter. I have a 4 pin. So hes looking into an adapter or something. Its all very confusing and i hope it works at some point
