Question Post your iPhone Home Springboard

We have a thread for iPhone owners and the apps they use, but I am interested in what you guys have on your home screen and why.

For those who don't know, you can take a screenshot by pressing the power / lock button at the top + the home key. Email it to yourself and post it up wherever you like to hotlink it.

    Show us what you got.

    Me:

    • Messages
    • Calendar
    • Contacts
    • Notes (probably soon to be redundant now that I'm using Things.)
    • Maps
    • Voice Memos: I don't use this a lot, but it's nice to have handy when in a hurry to make a quick note with easy access from the home screen.
    • Things: Great task management and project app which syncs with the desktop version.
    • Peggle: Amazing that I'm still not sick of this game. Great way to pass a few minutes while waiting for food or any other short-term period of boredom.
    • Twitterfon: I still think Twitter is lame, but I do find it useful to follow certain industry blogs like a mini RSS feed. I use Google Reader for longer news-type articles and Twitter to keep up with bands I like and friends.
    • Facebook: I mostly use the Inbox for non-techy friends of mine who use Facebook like email. Also good for the occasional comment on someone's status.
    • Shazam: Priceless free app for "what song is that?" awesomeness while out on the town.
    • Clock: I use the timer and alarm quite often. I also use the world clock for a quick time check on overseas calls.
    • Camera: Too shitty for good photos, but handy for a quick snap to embarrass someone.
    • Photos: I actually use this a lot. I sync certain albums with iPhoto and use them in MMS or email.
    • Weather: Just to see what my weekend's going to be like.
    • Settings: I find myself changing these reasonably often. Especially mail checking frequency or to turn off work email after work is done.

This is when I still had a jailbroken Touch:

    3.0 = no jailbreak:

The Gmail webapp has replaced the standard email app for me, and I'm on TwitterFon pro now. All I need is for my iPhone 3GS to actually ship so I can get rid of the Touch.

Handy little thing that Photobucket is the option to email it directly to that account so that they are right there.

Weather Channel: Better than the standard Weather app because you can tell it to find your current location
iNXES: Lets me see what of my Xbox Live friends are online (the ones that I select anyway).
Translator: Type a phrase and it translates it for you.
Golf Tracker: This app is handy for anyone who plays golf. You input your course, the par for each hole, and then it tracks your score and adds it for you as you're going.
Remote: I have a computer set up in my stack at home that plays my iTunes library on my patio and throughout the house. Since all of us at home have the phone, we can all control the music. It's nice.
iHandy Level: Tells you if a surface is level using the accelerometer. You calibrate it so that you know it's right.
PapiJump and PapiRiver: Both very addicting games.
Lux Touch: Risk. Simple as that.
Copter: Touch the screen to make the helicopter go up and avoid obstacles.
FallingBalls: Turn your iPhone so that your character does not get crushed by falling balls.
Whiteboard: A nonsense app that lets you draw. If you and a friend are on the same network, you can draw on each other's boards.
Y! Fan free: There is a paid version, but this lets you manage your Yahoo! fantasy sports teams.
Urbanspoon: Use this to find a restaurant close to you.
QwasiPad: Lets you use the screen on your iPhone as a mouse for a computer. You need to have the program installed on your computer and all of it set up, but it also lets you use the keyboard if you're on the same network.
TweetDeck: Lets you update your Twitter status and view friend updates. The desktop version lets you see Facebook status updates and use the Facebook chat.

Pretty stock home screen except for a couple apps. Just got Air Mouse for my HTPC and it's awesome.

Oft-used apps and media apps. Myspace is about to go. As is Beat Maker.

Misc apps - photo, fitness, misc misc, news

    Games + ibird

No jailbreak because there's nothing in Cydia that I want but don't have with my 3GS. I suppose tethering would be cool, but it's definitely not a priority.

I was under the impression that AT&T were the only ones preventing tethering at this stage. As long as your network supports it, 3.0 should allow tethering. Does a jailbreak allow tethering even on AT&T?

With 3.0 I am able to tether my iPhone just fine on my Australian network (no restrictions). In true Apple fashion, it took about 6 mouse clicks and 30 seconds to get connected and off I went.

Yeah AT&T doesn't "officially" (i.e. have a separate rate announced) support tethering or MMS yet. You can supposedly jailbreak and get the tethering working.

AT&T sucks, by the way. haha
