If there are any interested PC gamers, GTR 2 is the most realistic and interesting PC racing simulation game I've come across. I'm sure it's like $15 now. Pick it up and I will race with you!

Just bought the G25 but can't find a copy of Forza 2 for PC.
On the bright side, although you can't run Forza 2, you have a killer wheel and you can have a ton of fun with PC sims such as GTR2 and Race '07. Grid is also available and looks even better on the PC if you have a decent rig.
Damn shame that MS won't license any 3rd-party force-feedback wheels. Most Logitech wheels work equally well on a PC or PS3, and would have no problem working on a 360 IF MS allowed them to. I suppose since some are marketed as official Gran Turismo wheels MS wouldn't really want people using those, plus they want to sell their own crappy wheel.
One of my favorite PC wheels was the old MS FF wheel, which MS failed to support in XP. An update of that which worked on an XP / Vista PC and the 360 would've been great. Instead we got the rather meh 360 wheel.
Grid looks good but it has a bad physics engine.
So I was playing Fornza and...well..i suck at it. terribly. like...as in a corpse that was on month 4 of decaying could play it better then I.
I'll probably not compete as my wrecking would ruin everyone elses fun...
It's really a finesse game, you can't play it like burnout or need for speed. I recommend playing with full lines and lower class cars until you get a feel for it.
I look forward to the start of the season. Forza can be hard to manage in the beginning, but after a few races in the career path, time trials, and arcade mode, things start to make a lot more sense. It's a great simulator for the console and far from any of the arcade racing titles.
On a related note, don't let the "Arcade" mode throw you off. Every win in that mode unlocks a car to add to your garage. The time trials and career path are the other two methods.
Forza 2 aims for realism, it's not an arcadey sim; it does have a steeper learning curve than other racers. Real race driving is all about finesse and precision, not blasting around a race track powersliding through corners a-la Jeremy Clarkson. Forza 2 requires similar finesse and precision. :-)
Basically, what Pfeil said.
It takes some practice but you'll get the hang of it. 60% is following the fastest line, 35% is braking and throttle control, everything else is less than 5% of the challenge. Before the season starts I'll get some racing theory (understeer, oversteer, weight transfer, downforce, etc...) to help people get into the groove. My todo list is getting long.
