I feel like the four massive engines could be able to make enough thrust to pull the 747 up, even without any windspeed; think of a rocket taking off at Cape Canavaral.

L4D2 does.
Speaking of which, I saw L4D2 at ComiCon, and saw the passenger jet. It was pretty cool. Unfortunately, the jet was not on a treadmill.
I think its an awesome game and we have quite a few other focused players that play it. I was also thinking about starting a strategy gaming subgroup so it will be easier to find other strat lovers like me around here. The single player plays kinda like an rpg, your squads gain lvl's and get drops that they can equip. The multiplayer portion has the same basics as Company of Heros but a totally different feel. I prefer DoW over CoH's but they are both good games.
I was just fine at CoH, thank you very much! I even led someone to victory in a 2v2 once!
That said, I'm not really into the ritualistic studying of RTS strategies and build orders, so when it comes to real competition, I won't be that good. I would rather be teamed up with people who don't give a shit like me.![]()
I'd say we are pretty much the same way except maybe for Pablo who thinks he is the messiah of every game.![]()
As long as we put up a good fight its all good.
Thinking about getting it along with The Company of Heroes deal.
Build orders aren't as important in this game as other games. As long as you have some unit diversity it's more about how you use your units than what units you've built. Other then that it's just being aware of the time, it's just like CoH where after X amount of time you start thinking about investing in a rocket launcher because you know the other guy is going to be able to deploy tanks any minute now.
There isn't much building in DoW2.
