Is it just me, or are the forums really slow?

Ever since I registered on the -F- forums it has seemed extrodinarily slow for a community forum. It makes it frustrating to navigate between forums and threads and I often just give up.

I have tested this from many computers and internet connections with the same results.

Is this a known issue? Is it something that can be improved? We can't have that much content or traffic.

I've only noticed that threads with lots of images will load slowly (like Seancho's thread for example). I know that pictures need time to load, I mean they take longer then normal.

Yep, you're not the only one. It's pretty damn slow for me and I've got cable internet. I've only noticed it in the past week or 2.

Fine for me, even at this distance. Pages load almost instantly. Could be a routing issue with your ISP.

EDIT: Regarding the images: Most of the images posted here are hosted on a third-party server like Photobucket or Imageshack, so the slow loading of those images is beyond our control.

QFT... because there are sites that do take for ever to load, just for me. This one is fine.

Everything is fine for me. Maybe it is because I have obnoxious animated gif sigs adblocked.

I have noticed in the past that greasemonkey can really slow things down. If you are using it, try removing it to see how it goes.
