Hm... I'll have to check. I uploaded an animated GIF and lost the animation. Maybe it was too big. It IS bigger than the stated limits, but it didn't get rejected.

That is probably your problem. I tried to put one in that was too big and it came out as a still picture.

I have the limit set at 20KB. I don't think I'll change this, since if a 100 x 100 image is bigger than 20KB, then something is wrong. Fast page loads are good and making them slower because people have to download a slew of stupid avatars is annoying.

Sorry icky, but your avatar depicting an extended man-love session is going to have to be cut short.
