Can we please have an update that myself and Ultra kicked ass on the Golden Gloves Tournament?? :P

I like the news on the front, just less posts would be nice. Could we get write-ups for the events to be added as news? Like how the Highlander event ended up and who won the Golden Gloves tourney?

Instead of limiting the number of news articles would it possible to add in a fading display like what Steam has on their product page or a news ticker?

Personally I like having all that information on the front page but it's a little cluttered right now.

Why can't news items stay minimized when all the other components stay minimized with you click the little arrow things?

Can you get the text to wrap the header images in the news items?

I have fixed it so the most recent news item is fully displayed, while the next four news items (if available) will be displayed collapsed by default. So, you can still expand old items without having to load them and they remain indexed, but they don't make the page huge.

I am still kind of leaning towards keeping more content on the front page. I'm not sure people will see that those items are collapsed and many people may be first-time visitors who will be interested in the past few news items. Remember we're catering to new visitors as much as existing ones.

Are you guys just concerned about the recent threads section? You do know there is a New Posts button at the top right which does exactly the same thing, right? Why can't you just click that for a whole page of new posts?

I prefer this layout. I started off with the text wrapping under the images and it looked messy. This look clearly defines the news sections.

The reason I ask these questions is that they all take time to do and I'd rather spend my time making changes that people consider important for a specific reason than just on a whim. I'm happy to make the site better for everyone, I just want to make sure the time is well-spent

As of right now at work the text in the news items are about two words per line. Very unreadable for me. But then again I guess I can click on the actual forum page for it.
