If they would ever let servers put up a "Welcome/Server Rules" splash screen, it would go a long way towards individual servers being allowed to set the initial tone and standards.

But since we can't have that at the moment, I've been very impressed with the quality and amount of players we've been seeing. It looks like our message is getting out and the example of teamwork and maturity is being set even without VOIP.

The fact that we crack down hard on any hacks we see just adds to that feeling.

Like Bomm said, I can't wait to see how much better this game and our server will be when VOIP is finally added.

This game needs VOIP so hard it hurts. I think I am going to take a break from it until they put that in. In the meantime I guess I will play this stuipid Titan Quest game or maybe do some (audio) surfing.

I haven't played the game yet, but I've grown even more skeptical as time goes on. They just announced that they're delaying the demo, which I was waiting for to decide if it was worth getting. It's a pretty screwed up release model: release the full game even though it's broken, but delay the demo far past release until those issues are fixed? It's looking more and more like this isn't worth the effort or the money.

The lack of VoIP is indeed the biggest problem right now and one of the reasons I'm not buying this (yet). But the delay of VoIP we're dealing with now might actually turn out in our favour. This is because rumors are now spreading (Here, on the TG forum for example) about not only the kind of VoIP we're used to, mainly squad VoIP and in some cases Team, but also direct VoIP, or proximity VoIP. It currently seems like you will be able to talk directly to your team mates while playing as infantry and when you're in a vehicle. This actually sounds very interesting to me.

it caused my machine to loose its mind...i have several firewire controllers and recording type thingies that this games setup has totally FUBAR'd for me..

i have un-installed the game until i can get a new "game player only" machine put together...am only about $600 away from that happening...which will take forever now that we find out from the ortho surgeon that my wifes knee could not be repaired and that at 32 years old, she has to have a complete knee replacement.

sheeesh fellas...i must have been Stalin in a previous life or something to have garnered this much bad karma...

I've met some new players on our FFoW TS channel this weekend. They've registered, but I'm not sure they've introduced themselves. I thought I'd extend a big welcome to BattleBunny and Star. BattleBunny may sound a little drunk, but he's not- he's just a little old . He's an experience gamer and a vietnam vet. Star is also an experienced gamer and sounds like he'd make an excellent squad leader. Welcome aboard guys!
