Well i was able to play an hour with no crashes or anything. I think the combination of the drivers + the huge fan blowing into my tower fixed it. All hail Jaymind.

Now if someone gets a workaround that lets me get on TS, I will love you long time.

I think I'm having heat issues with my vid card in TF2. For the last few weeks, my whole system has been freezing up in the middle of TF2 sessions. Nothing but a hard reset solves the problem, and it only happens when I'm playing TF2.

jaymind seems not to be totally full of crap

I would definitely start yanking cards out, taking the fan shrouds off and blowing some air through there - probably a bunch of dust building up.

Compressed air FTW. I usually clean out dust every month.

I have never dusted my computer. I normally just stack all sorts of stuff on it and around which probably doesn't allow the dust to reach it. So far so good.

Opened the case last night and played for a bit, only to have it happen again. Then I grabbed some compressed air and blasted the vid card. Afterward it ran fine. We'll see if it lasts, but I think that was it.
