New Patch out today

I'm downloading it now, before it was unplayable so we'll see if it fixes that.

I still can't play my game on Very High or High, there is always a weird 5 second pause every two minutes or so.

That sounds less like a GPU problem than maybe a disk read problem. If it's related to high settings, then maybe textures are loading to your hard drive for some reason. It's a total wild guess, but periodic pauses are not usually associated with GPU bottlenecks. Are you getting heavy disk reads during this pause?

well to me they only need to fix the random hit registration, windows and other small openings blocking shots, and the sometimes not appearing kill messages. So lets hope at least 2 out of 3 are addressed in this patch.

Patch was purely optimization and adding support to Shader Model 2.0 cards. There's nothing wrong with hit detection, there's just the weird bullet lag.

yea i get the same wierd pauses every 5 seconds or so as well on high and very high, so medium it must be for the time being. Its obviously something to do with the higher rendering...it could be the textures, although i dont remember my disk spinning up a lot...ill check next time.

I wouldn't use this for a benchmark for PC's while playing this, its still in beta, and is wound to have tons of bugs.

Well trying to see if it was harddrive, instead of pausing for 5 seconds, it would freeze altogether then I'd get kicked from the server.

Well I can play on High or Very High with the Foliage option turned all the way down.

This latest patch is really kicking my ass - I was butter smooth before it and now I get random pauses, lock-ups and server kicks.
