Yeah I can't even get through the opening menus without major stuttering, so I'm out.

Take a deep breath, collect your thoughts, then take your time and slowly say the words.

And remember, don't worry - we won't make fun of you for being a r-r-r-retard [until you log off TS].

T-T-T-TODAY JUNIOR!

Maybe make a new thread so people can help you sort out your technical problems (unless your computer is really old and crappy).

Edit: Damn Hidus, stealing my jokes.

Had a fun go with whiskeysix and eventually undead in some random server. Funnest part was when we were playing streets and going down an alleyway. I had my drone out, killing shit, and whiskey would repair when needed. I imagine with a 4 man squad you could have the drone be the balls of your force with 2 guys on the flanks in support while the 4th guy repairs.

Even without teamspeak/voip we did well, so im really looking forward to tomorrow night when we have TS and other squads to go up against. Should be fun!

Thing to consider is a good defense is going to have EMP devices hidden to disable any drones, especially on Streets. On the other hand there's only about a dozen people playing the game right now who actually know what they're doing. In fact, there are only about 4 good chopper pilots, and the only person I ever worry about driving a tank is a MyIS guy. But there are about 10 people who do regularly deploy EMP devices in strategic locations. Yes, the FFOW Beta world is very, very small; you'll very quickly know who is good and who sucks.

The big advantage of the WC drones is the pyschological factor- the other team tends to focus its attention on those things when they roll past, and that they allow a team member to engage while still remaining in a safe position. Since there's no medics in the game, but you can spawn on SLs, it's probably best to have the SL be the drone guy.

But you always know there is an EMP stick around since a big "EMP Detected" comes up before you hit the stick's area of effect.

I played a game with Lucky and Undead last weekend on TS, it was fun. Our team blew and we got destroyed but it was fun.

I probably havent played it as much as yall, but I dont think ive ever run into an EMP thingy while driving a drone. If you actually run into one's area of effect, does it simply not work? Does it 'splode? The only other things the EMP does is prevent vehicles from entering, disable UAV, and prevent airstrikes right? If so, its certainly useful.

I also agree that the SL should be the drone guy. In some situations its best not to be in drone, in which case the SL should be in the back. But during tougher fights, replacing the SLs gun with a drone would be great to keep him out of the action, but still retain all your firepower. Youd just have to be in such a position that the other squads (or your own) cover your body since you're vulnerable that way.

I love how in a 4 man squad, youll probably not want a single person duplicating roles. You need the SL with drones, someone with the EMP, someone with airstrikes, and someone to repair drones and occasionally set up a gun (ive seen some awesome placements before).

With the WC mortar drone, it just got stuck there and I couldn't move it. Someone eventually came around and blew it up I believe. Not sure about the helos.
