So, who's in?
Just wondering who's going to be buying this game when it launches?
Is it going to be our next BF style game that eats up loads of our time or is it going to be another fad game that comes and goes pretty quickly? Will we have enough interest to run our own server? (anyone know what server sizes will be?)
I haven't had a ton of time to play in beta, so I can't really judge based on my experience.
Still, if we have a large number playing, then I'll plan on picking it up and joining in on the fun.

I'm getting it when it comes out on Steam. Unless its a week late like other releases then I'll get it in stores on launch.

Right now the core game is mostly good. There are bugs that need to be fixed and some things... like helicopter flight models, and lag compensation just suck. It has some serious flaws in other areas too. The user interface is terrible; the hud is freakishly large and the overlays are a net negative... they obscure too much and they're not informative enough. The squad interface is bad, and broken. And there's no VOIP.
Personally, I plan on getting it, and I bet it's going to be the next big game for us. But they've still got a lot of work to do before it's ready for release...

I have my doubts that they are going to be able to pull it all together but I am willing to give it a try. It definitely has potential.

Almost certainly buying it. Id rather get a demo beforehand since thats a better indication of how well it will run. Assuming they get most of it together by release or by the first patch, i think it will certainly be the next be thing for us but will not kill TF2. Id put it somewhere in between BF and TF2 in terms of longevity, excitement, etc.

I'll probably be picking this up. The developers seem to be really focused on putting out a good game so I *think* that by release things will be fixed up. Hopefully they put out a demo first however to make sure that they have fixed all of the bad things in from the beta.

And don't forget the elephant in the room... there's BF3 supposed to be out later this year too. That could completely take the steam out of FFOW, depending on release dates.

i don't think it'll be a bf game in terms of how much time we spend on it and that sort of thing, but at least when i played it seemed fun enough.

BF3 was never said to even be in development.
