I guess the idea with that gunship thing was to mimic the AC130 from DC... but they wanted the operators on the ground where they can be killed.

To be honest I've have a really hard time finding appropriate times/places to use the gunship effectively. Usually I'll get a couple kills then get sniped/shot because I'm so focused on the gunship whereas I could have just used a regular clusterbomb, done the same amount of damage and survived. There is something to be said for the 'fire and forget' nature of the other airstrikes.

BTW I am in love with the first level precision strike. It takes skill to use because the blast radius is fairly small but damn is it ever effective once you start to learn the maps and where people tend to lurk.

Yeah, the gunship seems only useful if you find a nice tall tower and pray that you don't get Sniped. I wish the gunship would stay the entire duration regardless if you got killed or not.

Wow, was reading this and apparently the Western Coalition gunship has a secondary fire that shoots Artillery shells when you hit the middle mouse button.

That's really cool. I always felt the Western Coalition gunship was a little weak compared to the Fuel bomb. This should definitely make a difference.

I'll try it out but I don't even see the need. The normal fire method obliterates armor with like a second of sustained fire.

I'm more interested in a blast effect rather than direct damage. The WC tier 3 upgrade is kind of weak since it requires LOS, so an artillery shell with a good blast radius would really improve it.

Birdie try using this method to place your airstrikes. It should help a lot with your accuracy.
