I guess the idea with that gunship thing was to mimic the AC130 from DC... but they wanted the operators on the ground where they can be killed.

To be honest I've have a really hard time finding appropriate times/places to use the gunship effectively. Usually I'll get a couple kills then get sniped/shot because I'm so focused on the gunship whereas I could have just used a regular clusterbomb, done the same amount of damage and survived. There is something to be said for the 'fire and forget' nature of the other airstrikes.
BTW I am in love with the first level precision strike. It takes skill to use because the blast radius is fairly small but damn is it ever effective once you start to learn the maps and where people tend to lurk.
Yeah, the gunship seems only useful if you find a nice tall tower and pray that you don't get Sniped. I wish the gunship would stay the entire duration regardless if you got killed or not.
Wow, was reading this and apparently the Western Coalition gunship has a secondary fire that shoots Artillery shells when you hit the middle mouse button.
That's really cool. I always felt the Western Coalition gunship was a little weak compared to the Fuel bomb. This should definitely make a difference.
well, i am too stupid to figure out the air strikes..i keep dropping them way the hell and gone from where i think i am putting them, and it is pissing me off....i guess practice makes perfect.
hey jeepy..? when did you move to Calgary? you gonna come and pick me up at the airport next time? I will buy you a nasty ole beer if ya want..!
Birdie try using this method to place your airstrikes. It should help a lot with your accuracy.
