Apparently you get points if an enemy drives a vehicle into your emp stick radius. To me though the biggest benefit of the emp stick is blocking airstrikes and that's where it would be nice to have some points awarded. I guess it's hard to do this in a way that's not open to abuse though.

It would be better if the EMP stick canceled the Air Strike in its bombing run instead of just denying the placement. Thiss way the guy dropping the Air Strike has to wait for his Strike to recharge and cannot point out where EMP Sticks are allowing the squadmate with an EMP role be an EMP stick spotter (since EMP sticks show up on the HUD when you have a Countermeasure Role). Since the Air Strike gets blocked after targeted, the EMP stick can generate points.

This is actually a pretty good idea. Let them burn their airstrike which makes the stick quite a bit more potent.

Oh well I just figured the drone thing let you start driving it if you were the operator. Good to know.

I think that this needs an update since the retail release. There are some changes to this Role.

Yes, the R to pick up the stick works now. I did test that.

So when you pick up your stick is it just recharged 100%?

Yes, as soon as I picked it up I could place it again. I had it deployed for about 10 secs and realized it was too exposed and then moved it.
