The CD to play BS could be an issue as I really hate that. But really I think we need as many of us as possible to be full bore and in game from day 1 to get the server running as smoothly as possible.

So, no pressure or anything. Just so long as you're playing when they allow the servers to go online it's all good.

I think I'm gonna be picking this up, close friend of mine with a 360 and XBL said the MP demo was incredible and I should definitley pick it up. So hopefully you'll be seeing me in the FFoW server when the game is released.

I can wait 2 days. Steam is just worth waiting for. Overlay, easy backup, no disc etc etc. There are plenty of retail lemmings. I also think you lose the ability to join on friends with a retail version. If more people installed and used XFire, then I guess we could use that in its place. I'd really like to see us utilise these social tools a lot more. The Steam Community did a lot for us to make our TF2 server successful.

EDIT: Check the FFoW FAQ. The ship date is the 25th, which means it'll be in stores on the 26th or 27th. This will be close enough to the Steam release. I hope people don't give in to one-day-itis. Steam is just a far superior platform and we'll get a much better long-term benefit from most of our community running it on Steam.

I'm still "iffy" about this game. I don't see what's so great about it. I've played the beta many times and it has never really grown on me. If I do get it, it'll probably be because of peer pressure.

I changed my mind, I'm definitely getting it off steam now. God, it's such a bargain when paying it in USD.

I'll probably look to pick it up after some feedback from folks here and elsewhere. While I still enjoy BF2142 daily and CoD4 on occasion I'm hoping that FFoW will live up to it's expectations.

I would agree that Steam is definitely the way to go.

I'll probably be getting it once they patch in the VOIP since I have real troubles with TS sound quality at the moment.

If I do end up getting it, definitely Steam.
