Hotfix here

Sadly it doesn't work with Steam.

Zoopy, are you still having trouble with Steam installation?
I was, and then verified the cache file yesterday. Gyrated through another multiple gig redo on part of it and it works fine now. Just in case.

Mine suddenly stopped downloading at 78%. I'll see if it resumes in the morning.

Ah HA! Just did what you said man.. started D/Ling again. I hadn't seen that happen before. Thanks for the comment!

I still can't run, I verified lots of times. I guess I just have to wait for the hotfix to come to Steam.

Zoopy if you hang out in the TS channel with us you could sort of 'pretend' play by closing your eyes and imagining yourself in the game.

If you let me know you're in the channel I'll even say "Zoopy, look out!" a couple times a minute.

BTW.. I haven't tried MP yet but SP loaded and ran without issue this morning in Vista 64 SP1/NVidia 8800GTX 768/X-Fi.. everything I've read points a finger at any one of those things for causing problems.

I've still got a frame-rate tweaking to do.. but so far so good, don't jinx it..

Edit - Just ran a quick run at MP.. No probs..

Turns out for me that Steam was missing some video files. Even after downloading the game again and verifying the game multiple times. I downloaded the files and it works for multiplayer (single player seems to crash).
