Default HDD getting full? Try deleting cookies!

I tryed this on my dad's laptop a couple of months back, and it cleared up half a gig.

concr3te just tryed it on his pc, and it freed up 6Gb!

As far as I know, there are two ways to do this:

1. If you run firefox: Go to tools -> clear private data. Or, if you want to schedule it to clear 'private data' (*cough*Santa*cough*) when you close firefox go to
Tools->options->privacy and check the boxes you want.

2. Download This tool and use it to wipe out all the crap on your pc. Only problem I had with it was that I accidentaly deleted the passwords saved in my browser...which was actually quite a hinderence and I spent days making new e-mails etc..

Anyway, enjoy

I use this too, and love to use it. It's easy and fast. There are two more free programs that you can download from this site: http://www.piriform.com/

You can also use CCleaner to uninstall programs and delete things you don't want to run at start up.

If you don't want to delete certain cookies: open CCleaner, options, cookies, select the cookies you don't want to delete, and push the arrow pointing to the right.

I've been using CCleaner for years to keep my PC's tidy. It's always worked well, and I highly recommend it.

Yes, I use cc cleaner as well, it is great. It also has a handy 'ignorelist' feature so you can keep cookies that you want. You can see it above in darksteel's screenshot.

P.S. Warez bb Dark? CARE TO EXPLAIN THAT.
