Yea, I am one of the few watching the NBA Playoffs and Detroit played a Helluva game in game 2 against the Boston Celtics. It's an old rivalry and hearkens back to the 80's where a team actually encompassed an entire team. This includes hard fouls, tough rebounds, no uncontested layups, and intense defense forcing teams to take an extra pass and try to beat the clock. Both teams have players that have dimmed their personal stars in order to play better as a team. This is a fantastic matchup and has already some of the best basketball that I have seen.
Detroit has a history against both the Lakers and Spurs. Boston certainly has a storied history against the Lakers also. Any of those matchups would be good.
It will be the Pistons / L.A. in the finals. On another note, I now have the hard decision to watch between Games 3, 4, and 5 and Games 1, 2 and 3 of the Stanley Cup playoffs. I am one of those poor bastards with no PiP...
