Quake Live
Not sure if anyone here is a Quake 3 fan, but id is creating a web based version. Called Quake Live, it's going to be free to everyone, and supported through advertising. It's currently in a private beta. If anyone wants an invite, I have 2 invites currently. If you want one, just reply with your email. What needs to be known is that they won't send out the invite right away, but they send out the invite out when they need more testers.

So is this any diff than Quake3 that I played ages ago? Still think UT99 was a much better game back than also.

Yes. Other than being completely web based, they're working on tweaking the entire game overall.

That's pretty cool I guess, being completely free and web-based - but how much of an audience would this game still have?

Good question, one I can't answer.

Not at this moment, but I have no clue what's coming.

I'm a fan of quake 3, although I was never a good player.
I'm hoping to find an invite. I left you a message. How is the game so far?

I quite like it. Much more so than Quake 3. I sent out the 2 invites I had left, I'm waiting until I get more now if anyone else wants one.

You couldn't play Quake 3 online before?
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "web-based"...
