In a sense that's true. The elements that make a single player RPG successful aren't exactly the same as those which make a MMORPG successful. However likewise the elements that make a RTS successful are completely different from those of a good MMORPG, but that didn't stop Blizzard from turning Warcraft into the biggest cash cow in gaming. At the end of the day what made Blizzard successful with WoW is what makes Valve successful- a willingness to invest the effort necessary to produce a quality product.
I have high hopes for a KOTOR MMORPG. I'm sure it has been and will continue to be a learning experience for Bioware, but I have faith in their abilities.
