I love that almost everything people are waiting for are sequels.

Frankly E3 was a huge let down since there was nothing major announced.
They really need to go back to the way it was, a Giant convention full of fans and developers with nothing but games and babes as far as the eye can see. Now its a corporate slide show where they don't feel they need to show anything off. ooo final fantasy is coming to the xbox. big freaking whoop, I hate that game series after 3. Oh wii has a new motion addon. great, and as soon as my Wii that got stolen is returned I might not buy that as well. OH JOY little big world...ok actually that does look like a good game...but it was also announced last time.

I need me a Demo of some of these games coming out. used to be you'd get a demo months before release. now you get em after the games out or none at all. Raggle Fraggle! and other old man grumble noises!

There will certainly be some great new games that come out, but by and large new games don't normally attract the same anticipation as sequels because nobody's had an opportunity to fall in love with them yet.

It's impossible for me to tell what games are going to be good or not ahead of time. Preview articles are absolutely worthless because all they try and do is build hype. I'm not sure I've EVER read an article where the game previewed has negative comments that don't involve the timeliness of its release.

So I am, along with most people, left to go on the reputation and the enjoyment of previous games. If I liked Battlefield 2, for example, Battlefield 3 probably is going to have things that appeal to me.

Since Battlefield 3, the only title that will get me to play on the PC again, still seems a long way off, there are only four in the upcoming cue I am certain to pick up for the Xbox 360.

1. Gears of War 2
2. Left 4 Dead
3. Resident Evil 5
4. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

I have my eye on a couple of others, but only as rentals. At $60 a pop, I’m trying to keep my purchases to those I believe will have some replay value.
