Xfire now offers Live Broadcast

Xfire is an outstanding instant messenger for gamers, but most of you know that. The in game overlay allows you to talk with folks outside the game which is a rare feature to xfire (Steam does this also). On top of that, it includes screen capture and video capture capability as well as track your in game time and other stats like your Frames Per Second.

Very quietly, Xfire has released the capability to broadcast a live feed through xfire including both video and sound. This is a great opportunity to show more people what we're about and I encourage people to give it a run and check it out.

It's a great opportunity to get our servers in front of people who may not have heard of us. It does tell you when someone is watching which is cool also. I'll have to watch my off microphone rants.

Just watched lucky broadcasting some BF2. This feature kicks ass. It's still got some stability/bug related issues to work out but the quality of the video feed is pretty damn good.

I didn't kill it. I am just not used to the framerate reduction.

As I found out tonight testing this out. This may kill your capability of using in-game VOIP due to the sound mixer option you can choose in the Broadcast options. I can only choose between "What u hear" or Mic (along with other pointless options such as MIDI and Wave). I own a Creative brand sound card.
