To bring up http://www.focusedgaming.com/general-discussion/
Firefox: 2.1 seconds
Chrome: 1.6 seconds

Not that big of a difference but it shows the potential it has.

To add to this Chrome launched in 2.4 seconds while Firefox took 3.9

Firefox is using 34024 k of memory while Chrome is using a total of 16000 K. Big difference there.

Big problem with it, the middle mouse button doesn't work to scroll (as in clicking it down)!

I'm also posting this from Chrome. Some things are very speedy, on the other hand page layout seems about the same speed as IE8, both are noticably slower than FF3 on some pages. Could be that the pages I'm testing against are optimized for Gecko instead of WebKit. The UI is very reminiscent of IE8.

Hmm I click on "Accept and Install" on the EULA page and nothing happens...

Another thing I've noticed. Chome and IE8 go beyond Firefox's Awesomebar by including all sorts of extra stuff, but I don't like how Chrome mixes everything into one list, without any context. IE8 categorizes its suggestions so you can easily see why it offered that choice; it also includes a button for each, which makes the suggestion go away forever.

Whenever I start to type in 'focusedgaming.com' in Chrome it suggests 'focusonthefamily.com,' with no explanation where the hell that came from. Yeah... that's full of win...

Update: Being able to drag tabs into their own window, or into other windows and such is something I've wanted in a web browser for a long time. But Chrome really needs AdBlock+, or extension support so someone can port it from FF.

If anybody's running it on Vista right now, does Chrome use Aero Glass for its own chrome?

I am on Vista and it uses the default Aero, bit disappointed about that as it looks a bit odd but I am sure there will be an add on before too long to sort it.

Another thing I am disappointed at, when you right click there is no option to reload the page which was very convenient in Firefox.

Default Aero = no glass?

I mean it uses glass but I was hoping that google would of made it look a bit better and fit in with the Chrome theme more like Apple have on their iTunes.

Like when it is not maximised there is a glass border all the way round that just looks plain stupid.
