Hijack this thread!
This idea just popped into my head, and since we haven't had a time-waster thread in awhile, I thought it was time to give it a go.
The rules to this thread are simple.
1. Respond to the topic of the previous post with a meaningful response.
2. Morph the topic of your post into something completely new. You can't just drop the original topic. You need to make a transition. Bonus points for finding a clever segue into an old topic.
Before you post, consider this one overriding rule:
If you can't construct sentences that everyone can read, or you don't quite understand the rules above, don't post.
----------
I'm hoping to catch some of UFC 88 this weekend. Rashad Evans vs Chuck Liddell is an interesting match-up. Some people I know have picked Evans to win, but I can't imagine him defeating Chuck's flailing fists of doom. Evans just hasn't shown the strong technical ability nor the 1-punch KO power that it takes to beat Liddell. Anyone else plan on watching this?

UFC is nothing but human cockfighting.

I know someone who once took part in a UFC match, what you see on TV and what actually happens are entirely different. He was only in one match what wasn't televised (some 'trial' to see if he is good enough to go into the real one), he wasn't. Didn't want to ask too many questions as he seemed pretty annoyed about it but it was still impressive. Just to show how tough you have to be for that sort of thing this guy has 3 or 4 black belts in different martial arts and STILL didn't even get past the first round of trials.
I only met him as a friend of mine organised for us to go Airsofting and this friend (UFC one) was going to lend me a gun. Didn't happen in the end as the airsofting place got flooded which was a bit annoying. When I did eventually manage to go I used someones AK74, it was one of the most powerful airsoft guns I have ever used, when I was shown it the owner forgot it was loaded and unloaded about 5 shots into my stomach, needless to say it was painful. If anyone has been shot from short range with a good quality airsoft Deagle you guys know what I mean. Those things hurt like a b****h. Is anyone here into airsofting?

What in the hell is Airsofting? Is it supposed to be paintball with airguns?
Because I don't really like paintball. It's too painful.

Whenever I play paintball, I always play against teams and just bonusball them as much as I can after they've gone out, mainly because they do the same to me (bonusballing is shooting them as much as you can until the ref notices). I've just gotten used to the pain.
I have blue tinted lenses in my mask, just like The Stig on Top Gear who, apart from thinking that Star Wars was a documentary, he can open a beer bottle with his testes.

Top Gear? Those crazy Car Show Idiots are the best thing to ever happen to television.
Of course, some of the cartoons make for a close second, but...

Top Gear is the greatest thing that has ever happened. It manages to be about cars and yet one of the best things on TV. I have cried with laughter a few times watching it and that is unheard of from me. Last time that happened was when I was watching an episode of Only Fools and Horses when Del Boy falls through the bar, only because one of my friends did the exact same thing at a pub a few weeks before, we were all a bit drunk by that point so as soon as he got up the first thing I said was 'What a waste of good beer!'. To be honest it was good beer, Holdens Golden if I remember correctly, brewed in Wolverhampton, a golden ale with a slight sweetness that isn't overpowering.

Boddington's is apparently a very good ale...according to one of the Friends episodes after they come back from England.
Speaking of England it colonised the USA, now a certain number of years later which I'm not sure about after the USA got their independence, there is an election going on in the USA to decide who will be their Fuhrer.
You know one guy who's great at analysing the current events of what's going on? Jon Stewart who has mauled FOX and Sarah Palin in one show, to a premature death.
"One of the most outrageous double standards you've ever seen...? I have some clips you may wanna look at."

Stewart has lost some finesse that he had in previous years, certainly, but I respect his opinions and love watching the show.
