since you are used to a bigger mouse, this probably is not going to make a difference for you, but I have only been using 310's for fps gaming for a very long time, its also not a laser mouse...so yeh...

Good grief man! Discontinued Headsets and Jurassic Park mice!

What are you using to play with? An Atari 2600?

I bet you're just killer at Pong....

I think I've got every mouse from every manufacturer EXCEPT Razor. Personally, I think Logitech is getting ready to launch something new in H1 this year. Logitech hasn't releast anything really 'NEW' in a while but the update downloads keep getting fatter and fatter.

I suspect a faster series of wireless input peripherals with more specialized input features.

If the MX1000 is still working well for you - I'd wait. Basically Microsoft and Razor have dumped their loads and Logitech is waiting in the wings. Before anybody comments - yeah, Logitech threw some bread crumbs into the market recently.. but it all seems based on MX-series stuff and there are new plans for the g-series.. maybe a GX-series? Just guessing!

FTR. I Use a G7 mouse now.. that I love.. but it's about dead. I've also used G5, MX518 and MX1000. So far the MX1000 is my favorite even though I haven't gone back to it. BUT unless Logitech comes up with something like I mentioned.. I've got a few MX1000's around I can use.

Been using my Logitech MX518 for like 3 years now. Still works great and I really like the adjustable sensitivity.

It's an interim by Logitech for the new Microsoft gaming series mice. Honestlly, I like it a lot.. but it's corded and essentially follows the MX518+G5 driver set.. not a bad combination at all.. and by all means a good buy. BUT.. as I mentioned, Logitech has something waiting in the wings, and it you can wait, and you have a MX1000.. wait. It won't me long.

I think we're getting ready to see new keyboards and mice from Logitech that we hadn't gotten whispers about yet.. just my opinion. As I mentioned before.. a 'GX' series perhaps?

Gaming Mice will always be wired. Wireless is unreliable.

I have a few that are unreliable, but so far the G7 and MX1000 do miss a beat.
