This game was approaching Duke Nukem Forever in terms of delays and promises but it looks like there is finally light at the end of the tunnel for Spore:

If you are wondering what Spore is, it's a sim style game made by Maxis (the guys who invented the sim genre) that has been in the works for a long time now. It promises to be pretty groundbreaking so it will be interesting to see if they manage to pull it off.

Like most of you, I've been waiting for this game for over 2 years now.

So when it launches, I'm in first day.

However, UNTIL it launches, I'm going to withold my excitement. They've had tenative release dates before and pushed them back. Here's to hoping they actually pull it off this time.
