Noob protection has the potential to be a gamebreaker if they don't handle it properly. After seeing how they implemented corruption I can't say I'm overly optimistic either.

I was dumbfounded when I read how they were planning on designing it. Lucky for example would only be able to attack a handful of players ACROSS THE WHOLE WORLD without being penalized for it. Do they think this stuff through before they spout it out? Do they play their own game?

Nope... kinda like the people at Blizzard with their class balancing, I don't think they play their own games.

There is a pretty good uproar over the Noob protection and the limit of 10 CR's per page. Make sure you post publicly at http://board.ikariam.com/thread.php?threadid=19866. The more feedback they get, the better the result for us.

LOL... They have already dismissed the 50%. They (the chimps) will discuss the dtails and have an answer next week.

Watch, they will make a slight adjustment to the point differential part of the rule and reintroduce it.


It's a flawed idea no matter what the point differential is.
