I was having this problem last night where maybe 50% of my right clicks/melee attempts weren't doing anything. A couple other people mentioned running across this over TS. Is this a bug or something specific to versus mode?

I noticed this too. My guess is that melee is nerfed in vs. mode?
It seemed to work perfectly about 20% of the time though.
Also, I played versus mode on release night and had no problems. Only noticed it 80% of the time last night.
Have no idea what's causing it. We should test on some different versus servers.
I seemed to only get it in 2 situations - covered in boomer bile, and when 3 or more zombies were hitting my ass (literally when they attacked me from behind). It also wore off usually a few seconds after the bile, or after I knocked them away. I have a feeling it's a nerf for versus mode (Which, to be honest, is very necessary - otherwise you can keep the Infected players in perpetual lockdown).
Only times where I have had issues is when the infected was partially clipping through something (a table) or behind a railing. Even though my shot was delivered over the top of the railing, the hit just didn't connect.

Yeah, I think there's a couple changes from Campaign in Versus mode:
-Melee attacks seem to slow down after continuous use and/or after getting slimed(?), though getting slimed usually leads to heavy melee usage anyways; more testing goes here.
-Getting hit slows down your movement. This is a real killer. Don't get surrounded (ha!).
Are there any more?
I'm going to test this in game right now.
If you are picking up a downed player and a Hunter leaps on them, you get stunned (like a Boomer exploding next to you). It may also stun people who are just standing close to the Hunter's target.
The Tank also does substantially less damage. His hits are not one-hit knockdowns (rock throw included). The hits knock people back but does not do enough damage to put them in the Down state (depending on health of course).
You get slowed down from zombie hits in the normal game, I believe. Although it's hard to tell, since playing expert usually means if you're in the position to be hit several times you're downed or straight dead anyway.
Settings are obviously a little lessened from Expert. Zombie hits do way less, FF is under full etc. Otherwise the survivors would have no chance at all.
