    Default Patch 1

    According to the Neotokyo website, the first client-side patch is coming out this Friday. It "addresses a bunch of existing issues with the current release" and "includes 7 new maps plus a night version of nt_dawn_ctg" .

    Is anyone planning to go try it out this weekend?

    I played a bit yesterday . IŽll try the new maps for sure - They also said they would include the first deathmatch map you seen on the trailer - the train fight

    Are the maps more open? For me that was the critical flaw for NeoTokyo.

    What do you mean a critical flaw? Personally I think the maps that are less open were better. The more open the more awp's once you had one team level up fast.

    That's more of a line of sight issue. You can make an open map and limit line of sight so sniper rifles aren't the dominant weapon. The game has a nearly terminal case of he-who-moves-first-dies-first.

    The new maps seem to have a lot more flanking routes than usual, and the AWP has been nerfed pretty significantly: supports are now 2 shots, and chest and head shots are the only ones that kill assaults.

    Just played a few rounds today. VTOL seems to be a map like Isolation with lots of cover and flanking routes intermixed with open ground for sniping, which complements the early ZR68L of the Recon pretty well. Also, the Supa shotgun is now a beast because it fires as fast as a Clark.
