Major Site Upgrade - Public Announcements

I will be making some major updates and changes to the site over the next few hours, so expect some downtime and get your reading in before I start.

I will update you with details of the changes once I work out which ones were successful and which ones not

Completed Updates:

Upgrade forums to vBulletin 3.7.2 PL1
Upgrade vBSEO to 3.2.0
Upgrade vBadvanced to 3.0.1
Update forum stylesheet to match current vB version
Finish off dark version of current theme
Installed new Image Resizer plugin.

Pending Updates:

Adapt theme for mobile devices

I noticed last night the forums were down a bit for maintenance or something, but theres some anomalies that have come up.

First, a bunch of old PMs that I sent showed up in my inbox. Doesnt make sense that not only would I see old PMs there, but ones I sent. And it wasnt every single sent PM either, just a few random ones.

Secondly, most of the features you can use when making a post do not work. Fonts and sizes work, but every other button doesnt work, nor do the smilies at the right.

Most of these have to do with not updating the stylesheet to the latest version yet. I made a bunch of customisations to the old one, so need to transfer these to the new one. PMs is a strange one, but since the database was upgraded, it's not unusual.

The post features lost are also due to the stylesheet. However, I do recommend that everyone uses the "basic text box" to post rather than the rich text editor (found in User CP options). The rich text editor usually adds a bunch of superfluous vBcode anyway and you're better off knowing the formatting syntax yourself than relying on the point and click stuff.

I expect to have all of this fixed later in the night.

Im glad you said something.. I thought I was having problems on my end when the home page loads up goofy and in parts.

Some AJAX functionality is currently broken. I am looking into where this is caused.

I also had to disable the dark skin, so I can fix problems with templates one at a time. It will return once it's all sorted out.
