This thread is a placeholder for minor site changes that aren't worth posting as a new thread, but people may still be curious about. Any minor edits and bug fixes will be posted in this thread.

Installed plug-in to force internal links to open in the same window from within the forum. Previously, any pasted URL would open in a new window, which was unintuitive for internal links. They now load in the same window.

Given any thought to a forum clean up?

Removing sections like the the WAR group or Tabula Rasa and Hellgate: London among a few others?

I'll probably put them under a sub-forum at some stage, but there aren't too many at the moment, so it's not crowded. Once we add a few more, I'll archive the old ones.

Added a Steam ID status section under the rank bars based on your forum Steam ID.

If it's showing an error, please update your Steam ID. Note that it MUST be in the format: STEAM_0:0:9003499

* Your Steam ID can be easily obtained from your Steam.log file located at:

Code:

C:\\Program Files\Steam\Steam.log

Look for a line which says:

Code:

Did not find an existing connection

If yours does not look similar to that, it won't work.

Example:

Note: This is only enabled for the dark style.

If I get time, I might update it this week.

However, I'm working on a custom template for the site, so that I don't need to update two templates every time I make a change. A bit too much hassle to keep track of both at the moment. The dark style is the default option.

Added regular expression validation to Steam ID profile field. Will no longer accept invalid Steam IDs.

The guy who designed it was using Google App Engine. It turned out more popular than he expected and the free service ended up going over quota. I had to take it out due to errors being generated. If it returns to reliable service, I'll reinstate it.

EDIT: Seems to be back online for the moment, so I'll reinstate it.

EDIT2: aaaand offline again. I'm going to have to disable this for good. His server can't handle the load and I don't have time to keep adding and removing the functionality.
