    Default GO LIONS!

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=det

I think just about everyone in the country is rooting for the lions--to lose. It would be so awesome if the now 0-13 Lions can manage the first 0-16 season. Looks like the only team left on their schedule that the Lions could possibly upset are the Saints, and thats probably a fat chance.

I remember when the Chargers were going for 0-16. Wasn't too long ago actually... 2001, I think?

Michigan is pretty much the most depressing place in the country right now.

Yeah, I grew up in Ann Arbor and with the University of Michigan team having had their worst season ever (in 100+ years of playing) and then the Lions going 0-13+ it's a bad year to be a football fan. All I can say is "Go Red Wings!"

I would prefer that the lions did a suckage transfer to the red wings so we don't have to watch them in the stanley cup finals again this year. Maybe if I could get them all in the same room at the same time there would be some sort of suck osmosis that would take place.

Packers arent as bad as their record indicates. Theyve lost a bunch of games by less than 5 points.

If you want to be remembered or talked about be very good, or be very very bad. The Lions certainly have fit the very very bad category over the years but I have never seen a team so inept. Unfortunately, the result you see on the field has taken years of hard work by Matt Millen to deliver such a mediocre product. He drafted poorly, and even worse, gave up on some of the talent that he did pick correctly (Shaun Rogers, Roy Williams). It's clear too that he couldn't bring in the right guys to match any coaches philosophy, be it Bobby Ross, Morningweg, Martz, Mariucci, or Marinelli.

With Michigan sports, thankfully we have more than 2 teams like Wisconsin, where we can root for MSU Basketball, Red Wings Hockey and the Detroit Pistons when the Lions are doing worse than normal. Let's be honest, no one has had high hopes for the Lions since they moved out of the Silverdome. U of M Basketball seems to be on the rise this year too, anyone catch that they beat UCLA and Duke? That's not bad!

Some of my best memories from college, went to college in Houghton, MI and I'm from WI, was weekend road trips to watch hockey (Redwings, college) down in lower MI.
