Looks like it's the indicator for when the cube gives out health and ammo.

Looks great fun, unfortunately I have a horrible feeling that teams with 4 Heavies blocking the goal with the rest of the team on attack will make it a little less fun.

Also, is there a companion cube for each team or is there only one for both teams?

If one team gets players to stand in front of the goal trying to block the cube then a sniper should easily take care of them.

From the vid it looks like these maps would be a sniper's paradise...long narrow corridor with nowhere to hide. Can't wait for the calls of "We don't need four snipers!"

But I want to play it anyway!
