    For some reason it is now only allowing 13 people into the server. Bit odd.

    Yeah, had just changed the maxplayers setting as an experiment.

    The server now allows 18 players with teams of 8, meaning 2 people sit out if it's full. I may change this to 9 per team so nobody sits out.

    Please provide feedback on what you all prefer and why, so we can come to a reasonable compromise.

    Having no sit out would sort of defeat the point of Arena, the bit i like about it is the loosing team still has a chance by swapping players rather than having the same 2 teams fight round after round.

    I do like the idea of constantly changing teams. Ironically enough, we saw way more "stacked" teams last night in some games with the auto-assigned teams than we do on any 'bad' night on server 1.

    Maybe a good compromise is upping the max players so x amount of people are watching, ensuring a decent churn through the teams.

    Just random thoughts here - I've only played maybe a dozen games so far so this isn't necessarily the most informed opinion.

    Agree with Random and Beatnik.

    The sweet spot seems to be a sit-out of half a team or so, allowing the composition of the teams to change throughout a map.

    That said, I'm open to whatever works.

    Yeah, I don't mind sitting out some, and thought it was good to mix up the teams. I also noticed the "auto-stacking", but it didn't 't seem to be that problematic due to the way the game mode plays out. I won a number of times on the "pub" team.

    Setup has been tweaked slightly:

    20 players max. 2 teams of 8 and 4 benchwarmers.

    After some feedback and testing, we found that you need to have at least some benchwarmers to keep the teams churning and prevent one team from dominating 5 rounds in a row. Keeping the number to half the size of the teams is a decent compromise between having people leave because they are idle and needing them for team churn.

    Please let us know what you guys believe to be the most suitable team size for the map size and whether you feel the number of benchwarmers is suitable.

    BHack decided that it was imperative we close the giant gap between 8 and 7 players per team, so we lowered the count.
