Yea dude, reserved slot action.
There is like 4 reserved slots on that server. When a person with a reserved slot connects, it lets them in on one of those, it then shortly thereafter kicks someone without a reserved slot. If you had refreshed you would have seen it go back to 18/18

You'd think this would make sense, but why don't admins get free reserved slots on the server(s) they're admin on? <_<

Yep. Typically admins have only been pulled from subscribers, but with the addition of the Pyro Tennis/Fun Maps server, we started pulling (non-subscribing) regulars from that server in to help keep some sense of order on the server. They're doing a great job, and we're not forcing anyone's hand to pony up $5 a month, but at the same time those who actually pay for our servers will always get a priority spot, regardless if they have admin privileges or not.

Please note that the IP for this server has been changed to the new IP. The Fun Maps server has been moved back to its old home and this server is now on the new IP.
On another note: I love arena mode. It's great for seeding and seems to work so well with a variety of player numbers. The fast rounds and swinging momentum makes it lots of fun.
Just a thought though: Does anyone feel the round start timer is too short? I have noticed on a number of occasions that class choices are rushed and people don't have time to work out a good distribution between themselves. This can be disastrous if a team ends up without a Medic, as this pretty much guarantees defeat. Does 25 seconds sound like a good time?

My opinion is its fine. It just means slowing everything down, especially for the guys sitting the round out. I can see how it might be helpful though.
Actually, I believe the setting max is 15 seconds.

I like the timer where it is. You can win without a Medic and getting players to broaden their horizons beyond Me+Medic is always good.

Lack of medics always pisses me off, though. How am I supposed to heal up after being roasted as a spy?
