Exclamation Reserved Slots for TF2

Well, they're finally here and fully automated

Our TF2 Server has reserved slots enabled for Subscribers.

Here are the steps for using your reserved slot:
  1. Create a subscription on the Subscriptions Page.
  2. Enter your Steam ID into your User Profile*
  3. Please allow up to a few hours for your ID to be entered. We are working on an automated system to add people to the list at regular intervals. Until then, we need to do it manually. You will receive a PM when your slot is enabled.
  4. To join a full server, you will need to connect via console. From within TF2, choose Options > Keyboard > Advanced and "Enable Developer Console".
  5. Bring up the console with the ` key by default (above Tab).
  6. Type "connect 72.233.30.78:27015" (without quotes) into the console and hit enter. The longest-playing non-reserved slot holder will be kicked to make room for you

* Your Steam ID can be easily obtained from your Steam.log file located at:
Code:
C:\\Program Files\Steam\Steam.log
Look for a line which says:
Code:
Did not find an existing connection
You will need to enter your Steam ID in the form: STEAM_0:0:0000000. If your forum profile Steam ID doesn't follow this format, your reserved slot won't work.

We appreciate any feedback you may have for us about the system and please don't hesitate to contact us via the Steam Community chat room for live support. Or just post in this thread for help.

You can bind the connect command to a specific key to save time.

Pull down the console and type:

Code:
bind "f12" "connect 72.233.30.78:27015"
Once this is done all you have to do is fire up TF2 and hit F12 and you will connect.

Great tip, Hidus. I've been copying and pasting the IP into the console.

I set mine to automatically join the Focused Gaming server on launch.

Right click Team Fortress 2 on your game list.
Go to Properties.
Click "Set Launch Options..."
Add "+connect 72.233.30.78:27015" to the end of the line (without quotes).

So for example, my Launch Options are:

Code:
-fullscreen -width 1920 -height 1200 -refresh 60 +connect 72.233.30.78:27015
Fast, east and simple. Although a pain if you join other servers, but then again why would you need any other server?

Alright it still isn't working for me. I just added a few zeros so it would match the format exactly, how long will this take to update?

The Steam ID we had for you before was: STEAM_0:0:6078384

Your Steam ID in your profile is now: STEAM_0:0:0081853

I have updated to the new ID and you should be good to go as long as you don't have more Steam IDs up your sleeve.
