Are those awards persistent in your profile or do they go away when someone bests it another day?

It looks like they stay. Santa blew away the score I got my award for and I still have it.

Yeah, I just found the area in the player profile page that holds them.

A few updates:

- Daily backstab and headshot awards are being tracked properly now that the HLstatsX SM plugin is running:

http://focusedgaming.hlstatsx.com/hlstats.php?game=tf

- server Time zone setting was off by 1 hour. Should be corrected now.

- admin contact info has been updated

I have changed the config related to points for kills.

By default, players gain points for killing an opponent and the opponent loses the same points gained by their killer. Lower ranked players get more points for killing higher ranked players. This is a cool feature, but unfairly penalises players who sacrifice themselves for cap defends or flag resets.

Lower ranked players will still gain more points from higher ranked players, but the victim will only lose 1/4 of the points gained by the killer. This way, people are still rewarded for gaining kills above their rank, but people aren't unfairly penalised for going balls-in for their team.

EDIT: I also removed the -2 penalty for dropping the flag. Again, players should not be penalised for doing what's best for the team by resetting the flag timer. Sometimes a successful cap requires a number of sacrifices to keep the flag in play.

Did you adjust the points for Engineers building stuff and placing down sappers?

So far I haven't seen any overkill with Engy scoring, so I left it as-is. If we see crappy Engineers get rewarded too high on the leaderboard, then we'll adjust it.

I don't think we should have an award for 'Best Latency". It's not like it is something we have any control over and compete for.

The scoring adjustments sound like a good idea.

WHAT!? I was going to spend a day in Texas just so I could win this one!

I want to congratulate Ultrablue on being the first person to have their game time measured in days. Beatnik is just barely trailing behind.
